Lotus Atlantic
This session will focus on IBM and SAP's joint development effort codenamed "Atlantic" Atlantic will include workflows, reporting and analytics, a set of user scenarios, and an ability to integrate and extend composite application structure provided in Lotus Notes and IBM Lotus Domino® software. "Atlantic" would allow customers to bring SAP business processes and use of roles into Lotus Notes, and Lotus Notes will provide additional collaborative value to the solution. In this session, customers will see the status of the project as well as potential demonstrations of some of the working features.

Rahmenbedingungen
Im Rahmen der Lab Tour gab Lotus weit in die Zukunft reichende Informationen (u.a. Ausblick Lotus Notes / Domino 9 etc.) an die Teilnehmer. Das vorherige Unterzeichen eines Non-Disclosure Agreements war daher Voraussetzung für die Teilnahme.
Die Teilnahme war für DNUG Mitglieder kostenlos. Anreise und Übernachtung erfolgten in Eigenregie. Aus mehreren deutschen Städten gibt es Direktflüge nach Boston - bei der Lufthansa aktuell besonders günstig! Reise- und Hotelinformationen sind gegenüber 2007 kaum verändert.
Selbstverständlich konnte der Kurzbesuch in den USA um einige Tage Urlaub erweitert werden, um z.B. das Boston Computer Museum (Museum of Science) zu besichtigen, den günstigen Dollar-Kurs zum Shoppen zu nutzen oder Neuengland besser kennenzulernen.
