Bob Balaban
(IBM Corporation)
A frequent speaker and author on collaboration and technology topics (and a veteran of many DNUGs!), Bob Balaban has been a software development professional for more than 25 years. Bob spent 10 years as a development engineer at Lotus and Iris, where he authoried the Notes/Domino "back-end classes" for LotusScript and Java. He founded Looseleaf Software in 1997, a small development/consulting/training/article-writing/conference-speaking company based in Massachusetts. In August 2005 Bob closed Looseleaf and returned to IBM as an Executive Consultant in the Software Group's WPLC (Lotus) division. Since then, Bob was part of the team that created Notes access for SAP solutions (2006), and he is now Programming Services Architect for Notes and Domino.

Kevin Cavanaugh
(IBM Corporation)
Kevin Cavanaugh is Lotus's Vice President for Business and Technical Strategy. He is responsible for the business and technical strategy of IBM's collaboration business. For the past 9 years as Vice President of the Notes and Domino business Cavanaugh has had engineering and business responsibility for the company's Notes and Domino products and for the client technologies that are used by those products. He has also managed the company's Advanced Collaboration product development teams and the International Product Development organization with development centers in Dublin, Tokyo, Beijing, Seoul, Taipei and Singapore. Cavanaugh's experience in the Far East also includes management positions as a consulting engineer and manager for Distributor Operations where he developed and supported new distributors in Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. He is currently on the board of the Boston CyberArts Festival and was previously on the board of the Unicode Consortium.

Christian Gansch
Christian Gansch ist seit 2003 ständiger Dirigent des Russian National Orchester. In seiner Karriere hat er seit 1985 einerseits als Dirigent mit internationalen Orchestern gearbeitet, andererseits war er seit 1990 mit großem Erfolg im Management der Deutschen Grammophon - Universal Hamburg tätig. Er produzierte mehr als 180 CDs und arbeitete in dieser Zeit mit den international renommiertesten Orchestern, Dirigenten und Solisten, u.a. den Berliner- und Wiener Philharmonikern, dem London Symphony Orchestra, der Metropolitan Opera New York, um nur einige wenige zu nennen. Mehrere seiner Produktionen aus dieser beachteten Zusammenarbeit wurden mit dem Grammy Award ausgezeichnet, zuletzt die 3. Symphonie von Gustav Mahler im Jahre 2004 und eine Klavierproduktion mit Martha Argerich und Mikhail Pletnev im Frühjahr dieses Jahres. Christian Gansch bietet Referate zu den Themen "Führung", "Motivation" und "integrierte Kommunikation" an. Er vergleicht Management-Strukturen von Unternehmen mit den komplexen Mechanismen und Abläufen eines Symphonischen Orchesters und analysiert die konstruktiven Analogien sehr anschaulich anhand beziehungsreicher Beispiele.

Jörg Knippschild
(IBM Deutschland GmbH)
Jörg Knippschild ist seit dem April 2004 in der Software Group der IBM Deutschland GmbH für die Integration von Firmen zur Abrundung und Erweiterung des Produktportfolios verantwortlich. Er hat diese Tätigkeit im Anschluss an seine Verwendung in der Business Unit Public und Commercial für das Segment Middleware Sales übernommen. Dieser Organisationsteil umfasst das gesamte Lösungsportfolio der IBM Software Group, vertreten durch die 5 Marken Lotus, Data, Tivoli, WebSphere und Rational. Davor war er für Lotus Technical Sales sowie das Lotus Technology Center in Central (Deutschland, Österreich und Schweiz) verantwortlich. Dieses High Tech Forum dient dazu, Kunden und potenziellen Kunden die IBM Software Group Strategie zu erklären, die IBM Software Group und Lotus Vision zu vermitteln, die Produktstrategie zu erläutern und die damit verbundenen Produkte zu präsentieren. Der 1960 in Münster geborene Jörg Knippschild ist seit 1986 in der Computerbranche tätig und wechselte im April 1994 zur Lotus Development GmbH in Ismaning.

Peter O'Kelly
(Burton Group)
Peter O'Kelly is analyst for Burton Group. Emphases of his work are communication/collaboration applications and tools, Microsoft .NET application architecture and strategy, XML and document/database management system (DBMS) convergence. In his software career of more than 20 years as enterprise application developer and data modeler, he focused on application architectures, XML and database topics, and collaborative applications. He was in software product management, business development, and strategy roles with companies including IBM/Lotus, Groove, and Macromedia. He is analyst/author of dozens of reports and articles on Microsoft platform and product strategy, XML standards, DBMS market dynamics, and other topics. Peter O'Kelly also acts as consultant to enterprises and software vendors on topics including application architecture, data/conceptual modeling, and product/company strategy. Peter O'Kelly created the first corporate-level logical data model for Procter & Gamble. He led Lotus Notes product management during the pivotal Notes R4 release. He established the product management and competitive strategy for collaborative application pioneer Groove Networks and the Macromedia VP Strategy during the launch of its MX product line.
