The New Green Vault in the Dresden Royal Palace
The first, modernly arranged section of the Dresden treasure collection of the Saxon court, which was re-opened in September 2004, presents an internationally unique exhibition of over 1,000 priceless works of art of the highest rank. Among the masterpieces of the jeweller’s and goldsmith's art , that can be admired , are treasures in amber and ivory, and gemstudded vessels such as Johann Melchior Dinglinger’s “Court of the Grand Mogul” and the golden coffee service, the famous cherry stone carved with 186 faces, the ivory frigate and fantastic figures in mother-of-pearl.
