Martha Hoyt is a 10 year IBM and software industry veteran. She has focused almost exclusively in application development tools and technologies. Martha began her career with Notes and Domino at version 4 when she had her first IBM job with Lotus Consulting. For three years she helped clients get the most out of the Notes and Domino installations through the creation of high value applications. Martha then moved into product management where she advocated for many of the early enterprise integration products including connectivity to MQSeries, DB2 and through the Lotus product NotesPump. She worked closely with many IBM Lotus customers to gather requirements to make seamless integration with external data sources and Domino a reality. Currently, she is working as a software development manager for Lotus Component Designer and has a team of user interface developers. Every day she looks for ways to simplify building component for both WebSphere Portal and Notes 8.
