Come to this session to learn how to apply metrics and analyze the business value that Portal infrastructures and services can provide your organization. We'll share the evaluation measurements and techniques that have been used in various customer situations to will help you better prioritize your business needs and create a plan that ensures a successful portal implementation. Assessment practices include providing you with the information you need to make the correct business portal investment decision for your company, aligning line-of-business (LOB) and IT management toward a common vision for a business portal and associated deployment initiatives, obtaining a high-level cost and benefit analysis to define the value of a portal solution in financial terms and concluding with the identification and sound justification for launching a portal initiative in your organization.
